Soft Cinnamon Rolls
Soft, pillowy cinnamon rolls swirled with brown sugar and cinnamon, finished with a simple cream cheese glaze.

Ingredients
- 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 packet (2 1/4 tsp) instant yeast
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 3/4 cup brown sugar (for filling)
- 2 tbsp ground cinnamon (for filling)
- 1/3 cup butter, softened (for filling)
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened (for glaze)
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
- 2 tbsp milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- 1Combine warm milk, melted butter, egg, sugar, and yeast in a bowl; let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- 2Add flour and salt, then knead for 8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- 3Cover and let the dough rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- 4Roll the dough out into a 16x12 inch rectangle on a floured surface.
- 5Spread softened butter over the dough, then sprinkle evenly with brown sugar and cinnamon.
- 6Roll the dough tightly from the long edge into a log, then slice into 12 even rolls.
- 7Arrange rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes.
- 8Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 20-22 minutes, until golden brown.
- 9Whisk cream cheese, powdered sugar, and milk together for the glaze.
- 10Drizzle warm rolls generously with the glaze before serving.
